The walk up to the village was very entertaining, through huge snowdrifts. Val followed me down to the valley a few trains later. The lens that I was born with was removed from my left eye, and in its place a new high tech plastic lens was implanted. My appointment is an hour earlier than my surgery was this morning, so I need to be out well before the council workers start clearing the paths.
