Towards lunchtime the sun began to break up the clouds. This is normally bad news &#8211; it\u2019s usually a bill of some sort. Today it was good news for a change, a nice letter from the Canton informing me that my Swiss pension is about to start. It\u2019s not much by Swiss standards, but it will buy a lot of beer.
