The changeable weather continues, but we head up to Scheidegg anyway. It\u2019s deserted.<\/p>\n

We have a ski around but the light\u2019s really poor. There\u2019s only so much time you can spend drinking coffee in the Eigernordwand Restaurant. Val peers up the hill into the murk.<\/p>\n

Can\u2019t see anything upwards, so we head down the hill looking for a lunch stop.<\/p>\n

We have a nice lunch at Allmend, just above the village. There’s a storm coming. As soon as the first flakes begin to fall we head back towards Wengen.<\/p>\n

Outside the Tourist Office there\u2019s a wooden garden bird which whirls its wings around in the wind. You can get one at http:\/\/www.windvoegel.ch<\/a> This being Switzerland, prices start at CHF130 (about \u00a3100).<\/p>\n
