It keeps appearing over the skyline. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-16-18.41.43.jpg.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2014-06-16 18.41.43.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-16-18.41.43.jpg.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We popped into the Dom. It&#8217;s beyond me to describe the sheer scale of the place &#8211; it&#8217;s simply staggering.&nbsp; Here&#8217;s a&nbsp; small part of one window. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-16-18.43.18.jpg.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2014-06-16 18.43.18.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-16-18.43.18.jpg.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The pubs in Cologne all serve a local beer called Kolsch. It comes in 20cl glasses, and as soon as you finish one, another appears. The barmaid keeps tabs on how many you&#8217;ve had by scribbling a 5 bar gate on your beer mat. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-16-18.44.08.jpg.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2014-06-16 18.44.08.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-16-18.44.08.jpg.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As I write Germany are playing their opening game in the world cup.
