This is followed by another to Nurnberg, and finally an hour due south to Regensburg. It takes about 5 hours all told. <\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve stayed in all sorts of hotels on this trip, but this one is a bit different. All the rooms are themed, and ours is called the Pope&#8217;s room. To be honest, it&#8217;s a bit weird. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-21-17.11.55.jpg1.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2014-06-21 17.11.55.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-21-17.11.55.jpg1.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I last came to Regensburg on a work trip about 20 years ago. It&#8217;s a nice town on the Danube, famous for its sausages. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-21-17.12.55.jpg1.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2014-06-21 17.12.55.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-21-17.12.55.jpg1.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is the Ratskeller &#8211; basically the town hall pub. There&#8217;s one of these in every German town I&#8217;ve ever been to. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-21-17.14.08.jpg.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2014-06-21 17.14.08.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-2014-06-21-17.14.08.jpg.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We stop for a beer.
