At 2970 metres (almost 10,000 feet) the air is thin and it&#8217;s absolutely freezing. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/wpid-2016-01-03-17.09.32.jpg.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2016-01-03 17.09.32.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\"  alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/wpid-2016-01-03-17.09.32.jpg.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Val at the top of the fearsome Schilthorn run.
