Nevertheless we thought we&#8217;d go up the hill to take a look. You can tell when it&#8217;s a poor day for skiing &#8211; you can&#8217;t get a seat at the Edelweiss bar at M\u00e4nnlichen. Sure enough it was really busy,&nbsp; but we squeezed in and had coffee. Outside the wind began to pick up, which usually means that the weather is going to change. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/wpid-2016-02-02-13.47.55.jpg.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2016-02-02 13.47.55.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\"  alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/wpid-2016-02-02-13.47.55.jpg.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After coffee and a bit of banter with the others around the bar we set off for Scheidegg. So did everyone else. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/wpid-2016-02-02-13.48.45.jpg.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2016-02-02 13.48.45.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\"  alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/wpid-2016-02-02-13.48.45.jpg.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The skiing wasn&#8217;t up to much so we returned to the village. We ran into Heidelberg Mike who hadn&#8217;t even bothered going up. His plan for the day involved little more than drinking beer on the Eiger terrace, and I think he&#8217;d made the right decision.
