Here&#8217;s the Breithorn in the distance, sun shining off the roof of our house in the centre of the photo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/wpid-wp-image-1883455979jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/wpid-wp-image-1883455979jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3263 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1338\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We walked high above the village to a hamlet called Ledi. Some of the best views in the whole of the Alps can be found here.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/wpid-wp-image-456301131jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/wpid-wp-image-456301131jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3264 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1126\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Val, and the Jungfrau.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/wpid-wp-image-1740069467jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/wpid-wp-image-1740069467jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3265 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1126\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A couple of hours later we arrive at Wengwald, which is below Wengen on the way down to Lauterbrunnen. There&#8217;s a railway halt here but nothing else.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/wpid-wp-image-1444398109jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mikeeasley.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/wpid-wp-image-1444398109jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3266 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1126\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A very nice walk, and we rewarded ourselves with ice creams on the Eigerhubel back in the village.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday&#8217;s rain finally moved on around midnight, and this morning we awoke to a beautiful day with fresh snow on the peaks.
