While we were at the Caprice on Friday we got chatting to the staff about their forthcoming ‘Wine vs beer’ tasting event. It’s a six course dinner, with each course being accompanied by an appropriate glass of wine and beer. Needless to say it’s not cheap, but we eventually agreed a ‘locals’ rate, and so last night we met Ali and Clare and prepared for the feast. We started with cocktails at the bar.<\/p>\n

And so it began. The head brewer from the craft brewery in Faulensee was there to introduce the beers.<\/p>\n

Needless to say it was absolutely delicious, and we staggered home 4 hours later very content.<\/p>\n

There’s a storm coming today, and we had to abandon our plans for a lunchtime barbecue at M\u00e4nnlichen to celebrate Julie’s birthday. Instead we ate our barbecue food for lunch and we’ll toast her birthday over a few drinks later on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
