Midwinter cold

The temperature was minus 5 when I got up this morning, and it was still snowing. It would be nice to spend the day indoors again, but my shopping list is getting longer and longer, and we have no bread for lunch. I cleared the snow from our steps and headed up to the village.

Normally Wengen would be pretty busy on a Sunday, but there were very few people around and only a small minority seemed to want to go skiing. Fortunately, the trains are running again, so at least the few intrepid skiers can keep warm on their way up. Aminaa is leaving in a few days, so tonight we’re going for a curry.
