Yesterday was cold with snow, but today the sun has returned, so a walk would be nice. Normally we’d get the bus to Stechelberg, but, just like the trains, the service is restricted at the moment, so we can only get as far as the Schilthornbahn cable car station. The cable car is being replaced, so the place is a building site.

There’s still a lot of snow up in the mountains, so the waterfalls are looking good.

The valley walk back to Lauterbrunnen takes about an hour and a half. No livestock in the fields yet, but the electric fences are all in place, so it won’t be long.

One last waterfall before we arrive in Lauterbrunnen to catch the train back to Wengen.

When we got back, it was just about warm enough for a hot sausage roll on our favourite bench.
