Our guests are leaving us today – it’s been a really good week. We accompanied them as far as Thun, where we started our walk. Last summer we set out to walk all the way around lake Thun, so today we’ll do another section of the north shoreline.

The walk along the lake is very pleasant. We found a nice bench and ate our sandwiches for lunch. As cities go, Thun is very attractive.

Boating on the lake is very popular. Views to the high Alps above the Kander valley.

Another castle, this one is at a town called Oberhofen.

Eventually, ‘our’ mountains came into view.

We arrived at the village of Gunten, where a bus picked us up and took us back to Interlaken in time to get the train home. A very nice walk.
