After all the nice weather we’ve had recently it was bound to rain before long, and sure enough it’s been pouring all day.
The day was not wasted however. We’ve ordered a replacement bottle-shelf for the fridge – it’s coming all the way from Berlin. Next door, Oskar has been having his first birthday party which means I can noisily knock a nail in the wall for the lovely photo of Geraldine and Daven that we were given in Soest.
Later on Michael & Laurie arrived from Heidelberg, along with Laurie’s daughter Abby. They came bearing gifts – lovely stuff that we can’t easily get here.
It’s a promising start to the festive season.
