Dinner last night. Corned beef hash with beans and fried eggs.

It’s a much better day today, and if we go down to the lake we should be comfortable in shorts and t-shirts. We’re off to a place called Spiez.

Spiez claims to be the most beautiful harbour in Switzerland. It’s hard to argue with that.

Val found some stats about the lake. Length 17,5km, width 3.5km, area 47.8 square km, maximum depth 217 metres, volume 6.5 cubic kilometres, altitude 557.8 metres, outflow 110 cubic metres per second.

We walk along the lake, pausing at a bench for lunch. We pass a fish farm.

And here’s our destination, the lakeside hamlet of Faulensee.

A bus takes us back to Interlaken. A nice day out in the sunshine.
