FollowIt’s a lovely day, but as it’s Sunday all the usual hot spots will be very busy. We decide to try a slightly obscure route down to Wengen from Scheidegg.
Our favourite restaurant at Scheidegg is the Eigernordwand. Unfortunately it has been demolished.
Fingers crossed it will be rebuilt in time for the winter season, though it seems unlikely.
Our path follows a stream. We have to cross it a few times.
Views across the valley to Mürren from the viewpoint at Stalden.
And back to Wengen from a little further along.
Eventually we reach the restaurant at Allmend. We pause for a sandwich.
A good walk, and we managed to avoid the crowds.
