Cakes and quiche for dinner last night; Rocks was packed and a good time was had by all. We raised 640 francs.
This morning Val had cake for breakfast and we had a wander around the village. Most of the farm animals have gone down to the valley now, but there are still a few cows about. The young ones are quite friendly.
Clouds are gathering over the mountains and we’ll have rain tonight and perhaps the first snow up at the top.

The weather looked distinctly autumnal today, so we stayed local and had a wander round to North Sands for lunch, followed by ice cream at the surf shack at South Sands. Views of the beaches from the ferry back to town.

Dinner at the Fortescue tonight, then home tomorrow.

This morning we got a taxi to a place called Bantham, which is the surf capital of South Devon. Very picturesque.
Nice walk along the coast to Hope Cove.
We have a table booked for dinner here this evening, and hopefully our taxi driver will be back to pick us up later.
Caught the bus to Kingsbridge and set off on a circular walk up through town and down to Bowcombe Creek. The creek is separated from the estuary by a low bridge, so there are few boats and lots of wildlife.
The southern end of the creek is very picturesque, and benches have been provided for the weary walkers.
We’re back in Kingsbridge having a pint as I write this. Curry later!
Absolutely pouring when we looked out of our window this morning. Not to worry, we need some shopping from Kingsbridge and we can have a fishy lunch at the Start Bay Inn. The blackboard looks particularly good today.
The rain stopped after lunch so we had a wander around Torcross. Ducks.
