It needs to be +3 degrees and rising to lay bricks. Understandably there hasn’t been a lot of progress while we’ve been on holiday. Nevertheless you can see the basic shape of the building now.

Raining as we left this morning. Last night we got a very brief peek at the mountains before the snow set in.

Not so good actually, if you want to go skiing. This is always one of the busiest days of the season, but we had rather hoped the poor weather (did I mention it’s snowing again?) would keep the worst of the crowds away. Not a bit of it. Kleine Scheidegg is like Heathrow Terminal 5 on a Monday morning.

Anyhow, we have a bit of a ski, then return to the village. Despite the unseasonal weather, the Blumenboutique (florist) has a wide range of bedding plants outside, and they’re doing a good trade too.

Anyhow, back home to clean the apartment, pack, then Sina’s for dinner tonight.

At last we get a nice day. Sally has decided to have a ski, so here’s the Harrison family at Mannlichen.

Val, Julie and I headed over to Grindelwald. Nice lunch stop at the Rancher bar.

Nothing much doing in Wengen today. More snow and heavy fog.

Lots of hardware outside Rocks bar. Most of it stayed there all day.

Talking of Rocks, we had a quiz last night. We came a creditable 3rd. The joker round involved the production of a top hat from a piece of tin foil.

This morning it’s snowing and very foggy. Nothing much to see outside our house.
