Village opening last night – a jolly evening when we all cruise the main street drinking boozy concoctions provided by the local businesses. Paul has found something amusing!
Needless to say our ski club has a stand – we intercept the tourists as they get off the train and ply them with punch.
Gloomy day up the hill today, and very busy.

After 2 days mischief, the weather is finally behaving itself. Up we go.
Glorious day, lots of people on Mannlichen. We ski round to Scheidegg and grab lunch. The Wengen side of the mountain is much quieter.

My skis had a new sticker this morning – Colin from Central Sport has spotted our laziness over the past 2 days!
Another cold and foggy day. A little snow. Visibility so bad nobody goes skiing.
We decide to go to Interlaken for a curry. Shivering on the platform.

Beginners classes have started in the village. It’s a bit gloomy down here late in the afternoon.
Very quiet day, pretty much had the mountain to ourselves. Here’s the Tipi at lunchtime.

Very warm today. Whilst we were waiting for the train, I heard someone say it was +10 at Scheidegg. It was true. Good skiing though.
Pizza oven roaring away, but to be honest an ice cream van would probably have done better business.
Back in the village the temperature has climbed to 17C.
The smoke from this chimney just heads straight down into the valley.
Here we are, back in the village. Arrived last night, caught up with old friends over a few beers.
Beautiful weather – it’s just like spring!
