Very cold today, but the snow has stopped so it’s a good day to visit Murren across the valley. Val and Jim.
We take the cable car up to the Schilthorn. At 2970 metres (almost 10,000 feet) the air is thin and it’s absolutely freezing.
Val at the top of the fearsome Schilthorn run. This is the first time for many years that we’ve been up here and not skied down.
Nice views down to the Sonnenberg restaurant where we usually stop for coffee on a skiing day.

It was a lovely morning when we walked up to the Co-op today, mild and bright. Here’s Val outside Chalet Viola behind our house.
We did our shopping and went for lunch at the Waldscluescht, and it started getting colder. About 1 it started snowing heavily.
We met Val’s dad off the train and went for a few beers in Rocks bar. Lots of snow by the time we left.

Entertaining evening last night night with the obligatory bells touring the village.
The celebrations continued today with music on the Eigerhubel.
Lots of people about, but we’ll be happy to see most of them going home tomorrow.
