This week we have a job at a house just above the village. 2 calves live in the field in front of the chalet. They are really inquisitive.
It’s nice to see such friendly animals, but the noise from their bells gets a bit much after a while.
Uptown Lights at the Caprice later.
We had a big thunderstorm last night, and this morning the air was much fresher. Time to try a run down in the valley. Lots of water in the Lütschine after the rain.
And in the waterfall.
Everything will grow really quickly now, so the animals who live down here will be well fed.
Our summer passes take us up to a place called Eigergletcher. It’s the highest point we can get to without having to pay a supplement. It’s hot again, so Eigergletcher is a perfect start for our walk.
We start from the little station immediately beneath the glacier.
There’s a huge construction project going on here. The Jungfraubahn are building a high-speed lift from Grindelwald.
Views down to Fallboden, where we’ll have our picnic by the reservoir.
Foot spa.
From Fallboden we amble down to Scheidegg, and then take the path to Wengernalp (centre of picture), where the train picks us up.
