We like January for two reasons; the snow is usually good and there are very few people around. Unusually for March, that’s exactly how it was today.

On the run down to Brandegg we are literally in the shadow of the Eiger. It’s cold! March is definitely the new January.
Yet again we were second in the quiz last night, beaten by this lot.
Outside there was heavy snow and a howling wind.
Val was up early this morning as she had staff training. The train stopped just above Allmend, and the driver announced that he couldn’t get to Scheidegg because the wind was too strong. The training therefore took place entirely on Bumps. All the ski lifts at Scheidegg were closed anyway. More snow tonight apparently.
The weather forecast for this week is pretty gloomy, so despite the weekend crowds we headed up the hill to enjoy the last sunshine we might see for a while.
It snowed quite a bit last night so everything is chopped up and bumpy. It’s fun to ski but it wears you out fast.
After skiing a few thousand bumps we headed back for lunch. It’s getting noticeably warmer now. Quiz later.
