Nebelmeer

In German, ‘nebel’ means ‘cloud’, or ‘fog’, and ‘meer’ means ‘sea’. Today, we have a sea of cloud. In the village we have thick fog. I caught the cable car up to Männlichen. About 100 metres from the top, we emerged into sunshine, and everyone in the gondola shouted ‘yay’!

It’s busy up here, and mighty cold, but the views when we have a nebelmeer are stunning.

Not so much fog on the way down to Grindelwald.

The kids’ area outside Männlichen restaurant, and the Eiger.
