It’s dark and absolutely pouring with rain, but out I go. Michael doesn’t seem bothered by the weather and he gives me the usual words of encouragement as I run towards Mary’s. Wet weather seems to be good news for the lady who drives the red taxi – I saw her at least 4 times as she shuttled shoppers to and fro. Anyhow, that’s another one done.
Party night
Around the village
It’s cloudy and warm today, so we set off to do a big lap of the village. Stunning views of the valley from the path.
We pass lots of snow in the gullies that come down from Männlichen. Glimpses of the village through the trees.
The walk took a little over 2 hours and amounted to 8.5km. A nice one to get the season started.
More running
We had a good night out in Rocks last night. We’ve only been away for 7 weeks but it’s nice to catch up with everyone. This morning it’s back to running, and I reckon the path to Mary’s should be about right for my workout. It’s also the flatest route I can think of. It went well – nice weather for running.
We’re back in town
Week 4 run 2
Week 4 begins with an obstacle
Off we go for the 4th week of my running programme, and my usual circuit around the lanes is closed!
I choose a new route around the town as Michael guides me through this week’s routine. It’s a warm day and the running is pretty tough, but I got through it alright and my recovery time was good. Just one more run in the UK before we begin Couch to 5K Swiss style.
