All the chairlifts are running today, so for the first time this season we can go up to Mannlichen and ski round to Scheidegg. It’s a bit gloomy but not too bad.
Temperatures are higher than yesterday, but everyone is still well wrapped up.
After the snow last night the weather has completely changed. Winter is here. Rachel came up after lunch with a microwave oven that she’d got from a neighbour – happy days, now Val can have porridge for breakfast.
The Lauberhorn races are officially on despite the lack of snow, so the army guys are hard at work building the world cup village on the ice rink.
Good night out last night, here are Val and Erin in Rocks. Big firework display and a concert on the ice rink.
Had a trip across the valley to Grutchalp today, and walked to Winteregg for lunch. Looking back across towards Wengen you can see the ribbons of artificial snow that will be used for the World Cup races in a couple of weeks time.
The weather is still very nice, though things look set to change tomorrow evening.
