Fog

Very foggy this morning, and as you know fog is the only weather that prevents us skiing. No mountain pictures therefore, and we felt very sorry for the Asian visitors who come here for a few hours and failed to see the view.

On a brighter note, the Inghams reps organised the first quiz of the season tonight. Our team ‘Don’t ski to Mary’s’ finished in first place.

Cold

After the snow last night the weather has completely changed. Winter is here. Rachel came up after lunch with a microwave oven that she’d got from a neighbour  – happy days, now Val can have porridge for breakfast.

The Lauberhorn races are officially on despite the lack of snow, so the army guys are hard at work building the world cup village on the ice rink.

Snow

We get a half hour before sunset when it’s dark enough to see the moon and planets, but not the stars. Here are the moon and Venus.

Last night ‘our’ snow cannon, the one which is outside our bedroom window, was going full blast. This morning it provided some fun.

And tonight the snow came at last.
