Behind the little hydro station at Stechelberg is a curated garden with a couple of ponds. As we’re on the valley floor here these ponds will be the first to have tadpoles and later on, frogs. The cold weather we’ve been having lately means no tadpoles yet, and all we saw was lots of frogspawn.

There are other signs of spring down here though. These cows are getting some fresh air.

Lost tourists having a sat-nav trauma being rescued by the police. This happens a lot – they drive onto a walking path only to find it becomes impassable.

Easter is coming. Lovely display at one of the farms along the path.

A good walk of 7 or 8 kilometres, depending whether you believe Val’s watch or mine.
