According to the BBC, this morning was going to be glorious. The Swiss forecast said the complete opposite. In the event it looked ok when we woke up, so off to Scheidegg we went. Amazing views from Eigergletcher.

All of the runs from here are pretty steep. This one is called Black Rock, after the outcrop at the top left of the photo. That’s the Eiger glacier behind us.

We did quite a bit of skiing before we found ourselves at the top of the Lauberhorn in a bank of fog.

The weather was obviously changing, so we scooted down to Brandegg and caught the train home.
