Last night I cooked lots of tapas. My Spanish omelette made from rösti and half a dozen eggs turned out ok.

Ascension day is a bank holiday here, so it’s going to be very busy in the valley. Instead we go up to Mürren. It’s a lovely day.

The path from Mürren back to Grütschalp is my favourite place to run.

Our plan to have a beer in Lauterbrunnen came to nothing – there wasn’t a single free table on any of the terraces. Not to worry, we’ll pop out for one after dinner.
