An action packed day today. We started off with racing on the Lauberhorn.
Jan skiing awesomely well on her new skis today, did Wixi, lift to bridge in one go. Later on we had a spot of curling.
And of course off to the pub later.
Lovely dinner at chez Barr last night, played bingo afterwards!
The weather’s been a bit changeable this week, and sure enough it was foggy this morning. We got the 08.54 up to Scheidegg and hoped for the best. We were lucky today, the sun came out.
World’s best apple pie for elevenses.
Back in the village a jumper lands on the nursery slope. This is not allowed and he’ll get a talking-to once he’s packed up.
Murky sort of a day today. We got an early cable car up to Männlichen where, predictably, it was snowing. Very poor visibility but great snow.
We skied all the way down to Aspen where we had coffee, then caught the bus down to Grund. Grund selfie.
Up to Kleine Scheidegg on the train, and the weather cleared up for an hour or so. Good skiing.
We had a quick lunch at Scheidegg and it started snowing again. Back to the village via Mary’s Cafe with a stop for Glühwein at Allmend.
The Barrs arrived yesterday, they’re staying at the Eiger. Nice dinner at Sina’s.
Followed by drinks in Rocks.
Up the hill really early today, lovely conditions before lunch. We kept running into Georgia and Livvy’s group.
While we were having lunch in the teepee it started snowing. We headed back towards the village through the snow storm.
It snowed most of the night and this morning, then started clearing up. Clouds rolling up the valley.
Later on we walked up to the village with our bottles. Is this the best view from a recycling centre in the world?
Steve, Jan and the girls have just arrived, so we’ll have a nice dinner at Sina’s later.
There was no snow forecast last night, but it snowed all night anyway. This morning dawned dull and cold.
We had lunch in Lauterbrunnen, then popped into the DHO to sort out the Wifi once and for all. Fingers crossed it will be a lot better from now on. While we were doing all that the snow started to fall again.
Snow conditions are now pretty much the best we’ve had all season. We had a few beers in Rocks and trudged home.
