C25K, day 2

Another instalment of Couch to 5K this morning, accompanied by Ken Bruce on the radio and of course my trusty trainer Michael. It’s quite cool today which made things a little easier – I had enough breath to say Good Morning to the guys doing the road works down at Upton Cross.

I’m enjoying this, and I wonder how much more difficult it will be up at 4000 feet when we get back to Wengen next month.

Running with Michael Johnson 

It’s day one of the ‘Couch to 5K’ programme. The aim of this is to get me from zero exercise to being able to run 5 kilometres, all in just 8 weeks. This being 2018, the programme comes with an app which lets you choose your own personal trainer. Having decided to undertake this challenge whilst in the pub last night I was somewhat surprised to find myself running up the street with Michael Johnson speaking words of encouragement in my ears.

It was a good workout and it took me at least an hour to recover. Now I have to take a day off before the next instalment.
