Windy

There’s a föhn blowing when we woke up this morning, with trains and ski lifts all closed. Only the tiny tots on the nursery slope remain unaffected.

It’s school holidays in Holland this week, and the Dutch love their skiing. They wait patiently for a train that might never come.

Down here in the village the weather’s not that bad, so I decide to go for a run. My headphones seem to have expired, so I borrow Val’s and set off. It’s nice to be back on the road. I was lucky – as soon as I got back we had a huge snowstorm. The people who were waiting for the train will be counting themselves lucky not to have gone up the hill.
